Calling all Waste Warriors and Recycling Creatives!
Sponsored by NetWaste and SimsMetal, Dubbo Regional Council is excited to bring to the Western Plains Cultural Centre artist Jaq Davies who will lead participants in a free workshop using materials to create sustainable artworks inspired by the Regional Waste 2 Art Exhibition theme: Toys.
Open for all ages, get hands on to turn the recycled into the sublime!
Orange based Jaq Davies is a multidisciplinary artist who uses a wide range of materials to create artworks, from the traditional, paint, graphite, charcoal, to less traditional, feathers, hair, thorns, daisy chains, toffee, sticks and glass. She has previously run ‘Toy Sculpture’ workshops in Orange and Parkes with a firsthand understanding of the Waste 2 Art ethos, and practical knowledge of creating wonderful artworks out of recycled materials.
Spaces are limited, registration is essential for resourcing purposes.

Time: 10am - 1pm
Ages: suitable for ages 5 and up. Children under the age of 15 must have an adult attending and registered.
